Been a While...

Hmm... I kinda forgot about this. Oops. Oh well, here are a few scanned transparencies I took last semester. I used my medium format Mamiya for these, and it was sort of a learning process using the Mamiya. I used Kodak Ektachrome positive transparency 120 and 220 film for these shots. One difference I've noticed in shooting with professional quality film is that richer color ranges can be obtained when compared to professional quality digital SLRs (unfortunately most digital SLRs still capture in 8-bit and the digitally captured stills are still rooted in the RGB color gamut.) Blah.

*edit* Looking at the quality of the images after uploading them here on this site, I realize that is kinda lame. The color quality and sizes of each of them are completely warped! I dunno. Grr...

Some images outside Chicago's Union Station around Adams and Canal last Sunday night. A little early waiting for a friend to arrive home, so I took shots. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to take photos inside of Union Station (also, my battery had run out of juice by the time I wanted to do that.) Egh...

Pics from Last Thursday (9/23/04)

View all 38 photos...
Here are the pics from Ba-Ba-Reeba last Thursday. Most of them came out blurry (because I had begun to lose consciousness) and color unbalanced (because of the building's lighting), so I tried to color correct the unbalanced ones. I left most of the pictures taken with a flash as is. I resized all the images so that they would be more easily downloadable from the site. I have the orginal files (each of which are about 1mb in size) so if you want specific pics, just email for the ones you want. That was a fun night!
